The 2000's

     The 2000's were a rollercoster in history. Like hurricane Katrina. It was the strongest storm that hit the coast at the time. It was a category 5 hurricane. When it hit land it was a category 4. It was a big disaster. It had a huge impact on the U.S. a lot of people and different organizations helped to pick up the mess the storm left behind after it stormed through. A lot of people died lost their homes, pretty much every thing they owned was destroyed because it was completely under water from all the flooding.Times weren't good then for the people that were really affected by this.
     9/11 was another terrible event that happened. It was the largest terrorist attack so far at the time. It happened on September 11, 2001.Terrorists high jacked a few planes and flow them into the twin towers and one into the pentagon  It was a very sad day. A lot of people remember what they were doing or where they were at when it happened. I was in kindergarten, I remember going out to the flag. This had a big-huge impact on the U.S. especially on airport security.  It got way more intense/protective. Now you have to go thought metal detectors and they pat you down. You can't even bring a bottle of water on the plane and you can't have more than 3 ounces of liquidin your carry on. they are so protective about flying but some people still get passed all of it. Some people don't like fling now and some people will even sue because they pretty much feel you up but they call it patting you down to see if you have and thing on you that you shouldn't, they want to make they flight safe and everyone feel comfortable.
     The oil spill was yet another bad event that had happened. It was just terrible, it is killed animals and plants. It is very sad when you see pictures of animals covered in oil that looks like poop and they are helpless and have nothing to eat because it is being destroyed by oil. I think BP should have done more to help or reacted faster to try to stop it quicker.It was a bad thing that happened and hope we learned from it and hope it never happens again.
      The ipod touch i think had a huge impact on the U.S. everybody does things by themselves now in their own world. It makes everybody more independent, less social. Almost everybody has an ipod and they are like candy to a small child or like Kelly she can't stop cracking her neck. you have it with you where ever you go and 99% of the time you have your headphones in listening to music wondering off into your own world you away from reality. You also could be playing games on it which usually is for one player depending on what game it is but the ipod isn't very big  so it is easier just to play by your self.. so again in your world.
       Music is a thing that has changed a lot. I like the music but sometimes its just nice to listen to oldies from like the 1950's-60's, 70's or even the 80's. Music now is a lot of rap where you can barley understand what they are saying but i like songs with good beats. Oldies was more laid back calm and you could understand what they were saying. so that has changed. I cant really explain how it has affected our culture but it just has.
       Cloths is another thing that has really changed people where name brand things yeah you should know name brand things so i wont take time to list them but its like the in thing like if you don't people will almost kind of judge you like in school. Girls used to wear skirts and dresses a lot now girls wear jeans and pants just like guys wear pj's in public. We have just gotten lazy everyone has a comfort zone and some people would Rather look their best when they are in public and others could really care less what they look like when they are in public. Fashions is one of those things that is always changing i think. It seems like there is always something new another trend was started and suddenly everyone is got like moccasins, now everyone has a pair or wants a pair.
      The U.S. is always changing, growing. old things come back like foot ball throw back but then somthing better comes out and then everyone wants that instead. Every decade things will be different than they were in the one before.
